I’ve been there– frustration, overwhelm, anxiety were my constant companions after I hit 50. 

I was in the best shape of my life in my 20s-30s and then after my kids, my metabolism became very sluggish. Once I hit my 50’s, I started to struggle to keep weight off, and physically staying toned became more of a challenge. No one had the answers for me. I tried all types of diets and fitness plans, and none created long-lasting results. 
 
It wasn’t until I started to really focus on my metabolic issues that I finally started to see a change. Through my trials and tribulations I found my solution to my weight, and now I want to share it with you. I don’t want others to struggle and then settle for “so-so”, when it comes to their weight. I have made it my mission in my studies in functional medicine as well as functional diagnostic nutrition to get a clear understanding of metabolic and hormone imbalance.

Lynette came to me several years ago when she was at her heaviest weight that she had ever been. Frustrated, unhappy with herself and depressed because everything she tried just was not working. She has tried diet pills, diet programs and extreme programs for exercise and nothing changed. She lost 10 pounds then would gain it all over again and then some! She was even contemplating bariatric surgery because she just was very frustrated and depressed about her weight.

I coached her by helping her see food as her friend, increasing her water intake, created an exercise program created for her body type and helped her get to the root cause of her metabolic chaos™. Lynette suffers from PCOS and was just recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Since working with Lynette she has lost 25 pounds and continues to be a client so I can help her reach her ultimate goals.

The journey ahead of Lynette is long, but she needs to lose over 100 pounds. Mindset, healthy eating, exercise, journaling, meal prepping– are just a few things that we continue to work on. Losing weight is not just about controlling what you eat, but about your mindset and creating lifestyle changes. The most important role to helping Lynette is creating sustainable lifestyle changes and learning to love herself again!
