Is that just about fruits and vegetables? Which foods are the best?
Here are 10 foods to boost your immune system:
Citric fruits
The reason for these fruits is their high levels of vitamin C. But for it to really have an impact on your body and immune system you have to eat them before you get sick. Vitamin C increases production of white cells which is why citric foods are so good for you.
Garlic
Garlic is one of the most popular foods to boost your immune system. It doesn’t just fill our recipes with flavor it helps your body thanks to the high levels of elements like allicin. There’s some studies that claim it helps lower blood pressure or slow down the hardening of arteries.
Ginger
This ingredient helps lower inflammation in the body helping with inflammatory diseases such as a cold that produces sore throat. There are also studies that suggest it lowers cholesterol.
Yogurt
Not all foods that help your immune system are vegetarian. Yogurt can also help in a great way. It has live and active bacteria that may stimulate your immune system. It is also a great source of vitamin D which is also great in boosting the immune system.
